It's been somewhat of a tradition now, that if we are in town, we try and celebrate our wedding anniversary in or around the Opera House. This year, we had a lovely breakfast at the Hyatt at the waterside just opposite the Circular Quay from the Opera House. Afterwards, we walked around to take some pictures, include one looking up at the glass from the outside looking in to the northern foyer where we got married. If you look closely you can even see a Sydney Harbour Ferry behind the photographer as it is reflected in the angled glass.
The special speaker at the seminar is Kevin Harris, son of Basil & Leonie. Great to see the success of second generation ! And there are some photos with Kevin and his grandparents as well as parents.
We had New Years Eve at home in Sydney this year. Friends Suzanne and Jean joined us with John. We have a great view of the fire works over Sydney Harbour from our front veranda. But gave up trying to get pictures of them years ago. So have pictures of the people watching the fire works and toasting each other at midnight !
And with another quick trip in Jan 99 to the USA (this time Santa Monica, near LA) another trip to the USA and this time an opportunity to take shots of Mom & Dad's new condo as it is starting to be built. Why do we call putting a hole in DOWN in the ground "building" ?
But what you see of the inside of a house is the model about 2 doors down from their building (ah, hole in the ground).
