Parkway Plaza in Thornleigh
"The Heart" under attack!

It is pretty rare these days for the local churches to get involved in local community issues.  So it was a surprise to see a "call to arms" in the weekly bulletin of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in  Normanhurst on 20 July, 2003.  It brought attention to local "activist", Frank Fayers and an article in the local community newspaper Hornsby Advocate.

That seems to have stirred the "silent majority" since there were two more references in the church bulletin on 3rd August, 2003 (which advised of a "Meet the developers and new plan" meeting on 9 August) and again on 5 October, 2003, which noted the availability of a survey form in the Church Porch and from Frank.  (Reproduced here for you to print, complete and submit).
